Welcome to the official website of the Omicron Pi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated! Our beloved sorority is dedicated to implementing heartfelt programs that truly make a difference in our community. We proudly support our historically Black institutions, advocate for women’s wellness, enhance economic stewardship, celebrate the arts, and expand our global impact. Through these initiatives, we’re committed to improving lives both near and far. 

 

Since 1989, Omicron Pi has lovingly served the D.C. community, continuing the beautiful legacy begun by 16 wonderful ladies. We're passionate about raising awareness for breast cancer awareness and cherishing moments with our elders at the Little Sisters of the Poor housing complex. Everything we do is driven by our desire to “capture the vision fair” that our Founders so thoughtfully established 117 years ago right in this city. 

 

As we strive to serve all mankind, the 2022-2026 International Program, Soaring to Greater Heights of Sisterhood and Service, deeply emphasizes our foundational initiative, Strengthen Our Sisterhood. This initiative supports our mission and focuses on five key program areas:  

• Empowering Our Families  

• Building Our Economic Wealth  

• Enhancing Our Environment  

• Advocating for Social Justice  

• Uplifting Our Local Community
